Suriplaza Colourful Mountains Day Trip

Once we've picked you up from your hotel in Putre at 7 am, we'll head to the colourful mountains of Suriplaza in northern Chile.

On our way, we'll pass by the 19,225-foot (5,860-metre) high Taapacá Volcano. Our journey will continue to the village of Colpita, followed by a detour to admire the reddish, ochre and orange hues of the Suriplaza Mountains.

During our day, we'll look for local wildlife, potentially spotting vicuñas, llamas and alpacas. We'll stop for a picnic lunch consisting of sandwiches, dried fruits and nuts, chocolate, and juice.

After our break, we'll explore more of the scenery around Suriplaza and visit nearby villages, such as Cosapilla and Caquena.

Before heading back, we'll make a brief stop in Putre, returning you to your hotel between 1 and 3 pm.
