Admire the beautiful scenery of the Surire Salt Flat on our day trip from Putre. You'll visit one of the main sodium chloride deposits in northern Chile and take in fantastic views. Let's go!

Surire Salt Flat Day Trip

At 7 am, we'll leave from your hotel in Putre and head to the Las Vicuñas National Reserve. Located south of this protected area, near the Bolivian border, is the Surire Salt Flat Natural Monument.

During our tour, situated at an altitude of 13,927 feet (4,245 metres), we will observe a major nesting site for flamingos in South America. This region is also inhabited by rheas, vicuñas, alpacas, llamas, and guallatas.

As we search for wildlife, we'll traverse areas with rivers, lagoons, volcanoes, and high-altitude wetlands. We will also visit inhabited locations, including the village of Guallatire and its church.

For lunch, we'll take a break for a picnic that includes sandwiches, dried fruits, chocolates, and natural juices. Afterward, we'll proceed to the Polloquere Hot Springs.

We will return to Putre and drop you off at your hotel between 5 and 7 pm.
