Cao Bang & Ba Be National Park: 3 Day Tour

Day 1: Hanoi - Mac Citadel - Dong Khe

On the first day, from 7:30 to 8 am, we will pick you up from your hotel in Hanoi's Old Quarter and board an air-conditioned minibus. Our first stop will be the Mac Citadel, a 16th-century fortress. After a lunch break at a local restaurant in Dong Dang, we will visit the Temple of the Mother and Dong Khe, site of the battle of Dong Khe during the First Indochina War. We will spend the night in a Nung family's house.

Day 2: Ban Gioc - Nguom Ngao Cave – Ba Be National Park

After breakfast, we will visit the Ban Gioc waterfalls, followed by a trip to the Nguom Ngao Cave, which is over 2000 metres deep. We will then arrive at Ba Be National Park, where a local family will host us. Enjoy lunch and free time to relax for the rest of the day.

Day 3: Ba Be National Park - Hanoi

After breakfast, we will take a boat across Ba Be Lake and walk to An Ma Temple. You can choose to either walk around Ba Be Lake or swim. After lunch at Ba Be Jungle Houses restaurant, we will stop at a tea plantation on our way back to Hanoi, arriving in the late afternoon.

Accommodation

The tour includes two nights' full board accommodation with local families in Ba Be National Park and the Nung hamlet.

The tour includes pickup from hotels in the Old Quarter of Hanoi. If you are staying elsewhere, please come to the meeting point at the Hanoi Opera House at the indicated time.
