Day 1: Hanoi - Mac Citadel - Dong Khe

On the first day, between 7:30 and 8 am, pickup will be at your hotel in Hanoi's Old Quarter using a comfortable air-conditioned minibus. The first stop will be the Mac Citadel, a 16th-century fortress. After a break for lunch at a local restaurant in Dong Dang, the day will continue with a visit to the Temple of the Mother and Dong Khe, site of the battle of Dong Khe during the First Indochina War. Overnight accommodations will be at a Nung family's house.

Day 2: Ban Gioc - Nguom Ngao Cave – Ba Be National Park

After breakfast, the first stop will be the Ban Gioc waterfalls, extending over 300 meters (980 feet). The journey continues to Nguom Ngao Cave, stretching over 2000 meters (6,560 feet) underground. Finally, arrival at Ba Be National Park will lead to lunch and an afternoon at leisure with a local family.

Day 3: Ba Be National Park - Hanoi

After breakfast, a boat ride across Ba Be Lake will include views of Widow Island. Optional activities include a walk to An Ma Temple or swimming in the lake. Lunch will be at Ba Be Jungle Houses restaurant, followed by a visit to a tea plantation on the return to Hanoi, arriving in the late afternoon.

Accommodation

This tour includes two nights' full board accommodation with local families in Ba Be National Park and the Nung hamlet.
