Day 1: Hanoi - Lang Son - Quy Mon Quan - Mother's Temple

On the first day, pickup will be from your hotel in Hanoi's Old Quarter. You'll travel by air-conditioned minibus to Lang Son and then to the border with China.

A stop at Chi Lang Pass gorge for an hour of exploration around the Quy Mon Quan gate will follow. After lunch in Dong Dang, the visit continues to Mother's Temple and Dong Khe, site of The Battle of Dong Khe during the First Indochina War in 1950. Overnight will be at a Nung family's house.

Day 2: Ban Gioc - Nguom Ngao Cave - Ba Be National Park

Day two begins with breakfast and a visit to the Ban Gioc waterfalls. Next, travel to the Nguom Ngao Cave, which extends for over 2000 metres (6,560 feet). Arrival at Ba Be National Park will offer a local lunch and the afternoon is free for relaxation.

Day 3: Ba Be National Park - Hanoi

After breakfast, a boat ride across Ba Be Lake to Widow Island occurs, followed by a walk to An Ma Temple. You can choose to walk around the lake or swim in its waters. Lunch will be at Ba Be Jungle Houses restaurant before heading back to Hanoi with a stop at a tea plantation.

Accommodation

This tour includes two nights' full board accommodation with local families in the Ba Be National Park and the Nung hamlet.
