Day 1: Hanoi - Lang Son - Quy Mon Quan - Mother's Temple

On the first day, pickup will be from your hotel in Hanoi's Old Quarter to board an air-conditioned minibus to Lang Son and the border with China. A stop will be made at the Chi Lang Pass gorge for an hour to explore around the Quy Mon Quan gate. After lunch at a local restaurant in Dong Dang, a visit to Mother's Temple and Dong Khe will follow, the site of The Battle of Dong Khe in 1950. The night will be spent in a Nung family's house.

Day 2: Ban Gioc - Nguom Ngao Cave - Ba Be National Park

After breakfast, the day begins at the Ban Gioc waterfalls, followed by a visit to the Nguom Ngao Cave, extending over 2000 metres (6,560 feet) underground. The final destination for the day will be Ba Be National Park, where lunch will be served, and the afternoon will be free for relaxation.

Day 3: Ba Be National Park - Hanoi

After breakfast, a boat ride across Ba Be Lake will take place, passing by Widow Island. A walk to An Ma Temple will follow, with the option to either walk around the lake or swim. Lunch will be at Ba Be Jungle Houses restaurant before returning to Hanoi. A stop at a tea plantation on the way back will be included, arriving in Hanoi in the late afternoon.

Accommodation

This tour includes two nights' full board accommodation with local families in Ba Be National Park and the Nung hamlet.
