Tour the main monuments of Vietnam's capital with this guided tour of Hanoi. Learn about the culture and history of the country and the picturesque corners of the old town.

Tour Details

Our guide will pick you up from your hotel in the Hoan Kiem district to start the journey.

We’ll visit Tran Quoc Pagoda, the oldest in Hanoi, on Golden Fish Island in West Lake, dating back to the 6th century.

Next, we’ll head to the Ho Chi Minh Complex, where you can see the embalmed body of Ho Chi Minh in the mausoleum and visit the gardens and two houses where he lived and worked.

Our tour continues at the One Pillar Pagoda, an 11th-century structure dedicated to the Goddess of Mercy. We will then explore the Vietnam Ethnology Museum to learn about the 54 ethnic groups of Vietnam.

We'll take a break to enjoy a lunch with eight traditional Vietnamese dishes.

In the afternoon, we’ll visit the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university from the 11th century, and conclude with the Hoa Lo Prison Museum, where you’ll learn about its significance during the French colonial period and the Vietnam War.

After eight to eight and a half hours of exploring, you'll return to your hotel with a deeper appreciation of Hanoi's history and culture.
