Spend a full day discovering Vietnam's spectacular sights: Hoa Lu, the ancient capital, and Tam Coc's scenery, rice fields, and caves. An unforgettable tour of Ninh Binh!

Tour Details

You will be picked up at your hotel in Hanoi at the scheduled time and travel south to the Ninh Binh region. The two-hour journey includes a 20-minute stop for traditional Vietnamese souvenirs such as lacquerware, paintings, or embroidery.

Upon arrival in Hoa Lu, visit the citadel of what was the Vietnamese capital in the 10th century, featuring temples, pagodas, and notable architecture.

Around midday, head to Tam Coc for lunch at a local restaurant. After eating, enjoy a rowboat ride along the Ngo Dong River to explore the rice fields, passing through three caves known as the 'magic grottoes': Hang Ca, Hang Hai, and Hang Ba. Experience the historical significance of this beautiful region.

After a day filled with mountain and river scenery, return to Hanoi, getting back to your hotel 11 hours after departure.

Rice Fields in Tam Coc

In Tam Coc, there is one rice harvest per year, with sowing in February and harvesting in May, making these months ideal for visiting. The landscape, however, is worthwhile to see at any time of year.
