Tour Details

The tour begins with pickup at your hotel in Hanoi at the scheduled time, followed by a two-hour drive to the Ninh Binh region. A 20-minute stop will be made along the way for purchasing traditional Vietnamese souvenirs like lacquerware, paintings, or embroidery.

Upon arrival at Hoa Lu, you'll visit the citadel that served as the Vietnamese capital in the 10th century, with an abundance of temples, pagodas, and monuments showcasing the region's architecture.

Towards midday, lunch will be at a local restaurant in Tam Coc. Afterward, you will take a rowboat along the Ngo Dong River to explore the rice fields, passing through three caves known as the 'magic grottoes': Hang Ca, Hang Hai, and Hang Ba. The journey highlights the historical significance and breathtaking beauty of the region.

After a day filled with scenic views of mountains and rivers, you'll return to Hanoi, reaching your hotel 11 hours after departure.

In Tam Coc, the rice harvest occurs once a year, with seeds sown in February and harvested in May, making these months ideal for visits, though the area is stunning year-round.
