Cuc Phuong was Vietnam's first national park and is the country's largest nature reserve and one of the most important sites for biodiversity in Vietnam. Cuc Phuong National Park is located 100km south of Hanoi in Ninh Binh province. It was officially opened in 1960 as the first national park in Vietnam. It boasts engaging cultural and wildlife heritage and enchanting scenery. Cuc Phuong National Park is surrounded by several limestone cliffs, the highest being May Bac, meaning "silver cloud," with a height of 656m.
Take this 1-day trip to explore the beauty of nature by visiting the ancient forest harbors over 2234 vascular and non-vascular plants, 122 species of reptiles and amphibians, and 135 species of mammals, including the Clouded Leopard, Delacour's Langur, Owston's Civet, and Asian Black Bear. There are also an incredible 336 documented bird species. Visitors in April and May should be blessed with the chance to see literally thousands of vibrant butterflies.
Our guide will pick up you at the hotel in Hanoi, then depart for Cuc Phuong national park towards the Southwest of Hanoi, it takes about 2,5 hours (120km) to get to Cuc Phuong national park. We will first visit the Endangered Primate Rescue Centre a non-profit organization dedicated to the rehabilitation, breeding, research, and conservation of endangered primates, and to the protection of their habitats. Then keep going into the park central, stop to discover an ancient human cave, have lunch at a house-on-stilted in the park central or picnic lunch.
After lunch, depart to the Park Centre, on the way visit the Cave of Early Man ( had over 7000 years), then you’ll start on a long trek through the forest to learn about the diverse flora and fauna of the park. You’ll also make stops at Cho Chi, the oldest tree in the forest, a number of picturesque streams, and waterfalls. A car picks up and transfers back to Hanoi. Finish tour.
