Impressive caters, an ancient volcano, lakes, cliffs, waterfalls, and dunes... Discover the natural treasure of Mauritius on this private trip around the south of the Island!

Description

We'll collect you from your hotel before visiting Trou-aux-Cerfs, the largest crater in Mauritius. It is a dormant volcano and from its summit, over 600 meters high, offers views over Mauritius. On clear days, Reunion Island may be visible on the horizon.

Next, we continue to Mare aux Vacoas, the largest lake on the island. We will trek along the banks surrounded by jungle. The next stop will be Grand Bassin, the most sacred Hindu place on the island, where followers walk barefoot yearly to honor Shiva.

You will have free time for lunch before visiting a tea plantation. Then, we head to the Black River Gorges National Park, the largest in the country. This protected area features lakes, cliffs, and waterfalls, providing an opportunity to experience the tropical jungle and its native flora and fauna.

Finally, we will visit the Valley of 23 Colors, known for the Seven Coloured Earths. These dunes, formed with sand of seven different colors, create unique patterns. After 8 hours of exploring, we will return to your hotel.
