Explore some of New Zealand's most amazing landscapes that have served as set locations for numerous Hollywood films on this excursion to Glenorchy and Paradise from Queenstown.

Glenorchy & Paradise Excursion

At the scheduled time, we'll meet at The Station tourist information center. Departing from Queenstown, we'll set off for Glenorchy and Paradise, located 45 minutes away.

Before arriving at Glenorchy, we'll stop in Arrowtown to try local wine.

Glenorchy, on the north shore of Lake Wakatipu, is the entry point to the locations of The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit.

During the tour, we will see landscapes from the minibus and make several stops for photos. We'll provide a breakfast or snack based on timing, including tea, kiwis, cakes, cheese, and chocolates.

We'll explore the Dart and Rees rivers, mountain views, Diamond Lake, and the Glenorchy Wharf Shed, distinguished by its bright red color against the greenery.

While in Glenorchy, we'll discuss the first Maori communities in the area.

We'll also visit Paradise, where famous movies were filmed, including The Chronicles of Narnia.

After approximately 4 to 4.5 hours, the excursion will conclude at the departure point in Queenstown.
