Lord of the Rings Tour

The countryside of New Zealand was the inspiration for Peter Jackson's vision of The Lord of the Rings trilogy. The mountains, hills, and lakes of these islands are iconic in the saga. After being picked up from your hotel in Queenstown, the adventure begins towards Glenorchy, a filming location of famous scenes.

Start your exploration of Middle Earth on a 45-minute jeep journey, admiring the landscapes from the scenic road between Queenstown and Glenorchy. Observe Lake Wakatipu and the slopes of Mount Earnslaw, where the opening scene of The Two Towers was filmed.

Following Jackson's footsteps, visit the woodland valleys of Lothlorien, represented by Paradise Forest. Fans will recognize the iconic scene of Boromir's death in these trees. Paradise Forest was also featured in The Hobbit.

On the return to Queenstown, make a final stop in Gondor to visit Ithilien Camp. After exploring Middle Earth and experiencing the saga's magic, you will return to Queenstown and be dropped off at your hotel.
