Lord of the Rings Tour
The countryside of New Zealand inspired Peter Jackson's vision of The Lord of the Rings trilogy, featuring striking mountains, rolling hills, and tranquil lakes. The tour begins with a hotel pickup in Queenstown, heading towards Glenorchy, a filming location for several iconic scenes.
Start your exploration of Middle Earth with a 45-minute jeep journey along the scenic road between Queenstown and Glenorchy. Experience views of Lake Wakatipu and the north-western slopes of Mount Earnslaw, where the opening scene of The Two Towers was filmed.
You will visit the woodland valleys of Lothlorien, notably Paradise Forest, where Boromir's death scene took place. Paradise Forest was also featured in The Hobbit.
On the return trip to Queenstown, stop at Ithilien Camp in Gondor. After exploring Middle Earth and experiencing the magic of the saga, you'll be returned to your hotel in Queenstown.
