Delve deep into Middle Earth on this tour of the stunning landscapes of Queenstown, Glenorchy and Paradise Forest in New Zealand. Discover the mystical scenery of one of the world's most famous trilogies: The Lord of the Rings.

Lord of the Rings Tour

The beautiful countryside of New Zealand inspired Peter Jackson's vision of The Lord of the Rings trilogy. Striking mountains, rolling hills and tranquil lakes are reminiscent of Gandalf and Shadowfax galloping across mythical lands. After being picked up from your hotel in Queenstown, your adventure begins, heading towards Glenorchy, a filming location of several famous scenes.

Your exploration of Middle Earth starts with a 45-minute jeep journey along the scenic road between Queenstown and Glenorchy. Enjoy views of Lake Wakatipu and the north-western slopes of Mount Earnslaw, where the opening scene of The Two Towers was filmed.

Discover the woodland valleys of Lothlorien at Paradise Forest. Fans will recall the iconic scene of Boromir's death among these trees. Paradise Forest also featured in The Hobbit.

On the return to Queenstown, there will be a final stop in Gondor to visit Ithilien Camp. After exploring Middle Earth, you'll be dropped off at your hotel in Queenstown.
