Lord of the Rings Tour

The countryside of New Zealand served as the inspiration for Peter Jackson's vision of The Lord of the Rings trilogy. After being picked up from your hotel in Queenstown, your adventure will begin with a journey towards Glenorchy, a filming location for several famous scenes.

Your exploration of Middle Earth starts with a 45-minute jeep journey along the scenic road between Queenstown and Glenorchy. You'll enjoy views of Lake Wakatipu and the north-western slopes of Mount Earnslaw, where the opening scene of The Two Towers was filmed.

You'll discover the woodland valleys of Lothlorien in Paradise Forest. This location is famous for the scene of Boromir's death and was also featured in The Hobbit.

On the return to Queenstown, a final stop will be made in Gondor at Ithilien Camp. After exploring Middle Earth and experiencing the iconic saga, you'll return to Queenstown for drop-off at your hotel.
