Visit New Zealand's famous fjord on this trip to Milford Sound. You'll enjoy a two-hour cruise past waterfalls and mountains as well as meet sea lions.

Day Trip Details

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Queenstown to set off for the Milford Sound Fjord. Once onboard the minibus, we'll travel to the west coast of New Zealand.

As we leave Queenstown, we'll drive along Wakatipu Lake, admiring views with The Remarkables mountain range in the background.

During our three-and-a-half-hour drive, we'll enjoy views of surrounding forests, small towns, rivers, and springs like Lake Te Anau, the second largest in New Zealand. Several stops will be made at Mirror Lake, Eglinton Valley, and Monkey Creek.

Upon arriving at Milford Sound, we'll see Gunn Lake with Hollyford River and Falls Creek nearby. We will board the boat for a cruise along the fjord, a registered UNESCO World Heritage Site. A picnic lunch will be provided for you to enjoy at your convenience.

During the two-hour cruise, we'll see cascading waterfalls, lush vegetation, and towering mountains, including Mitre Peak. Wildlife such as native birds, sea lions, and possibly dolphins may be spotted.

At the end of the tour, we will return to the Queenstown hotels, arriving approximately 13 hours after pickup.
