Day Trip around Santiago de Queretaro

On this day trip to San Joaquín and Cadereyta de Montes, we will explore two Magical Villages and the archaeological site of Toluquilla.

Description

At the scheduled time, we will pick you up from your hotel in downtown Santiago de Queretaro. We will travel to San Joaquín and Cadereyta de Montes.

First, we will visit the village of San Joaquin, located in the forested mountains.

We will stop at San Joaquin's downtown to explore its streets and then visit the Mining Museum, which highlights the area's mining history.

Next, we will explore the Gruta de los Herrera, a cave featuring stalactites and stalagmites.

We will then visit the archaeological site of Toluquilla, home to structures related to the ancient ball game, providing insight into the pre-Hispanic heritage.

During our return to Santiago, we will stop at Cadereyta de Montes for lunch at local restaurants. This town has held the Magical Village title since 2011 and is known for barbacoa and pulque. You can explore local haciendas, visit the planetarium, and walk through the botanical gardens.

After 12 hours, we will return to your hotel in Santiago de Queretaro.
