Dive into the history of Mexico on this day trip and discover key sites of independence, including Dolores Hidalgo, Atotonilco, and San Miguel de Allende.

Day Trip Details

At the designated time, we will meet at Calle Independencia, number 64C, near the Plaza de Armas to begin our trip. We will trace the steps of Ignacio Pérez, the "Messenger of Independence."

After a 2-hour journey, our first stop will be Dolores Hidalgo, where the Independence Movement began on September 16, 1810. We will visit the Parish of Nuestra Señora de Los Dolores, the house of Jesuit Miguel Hidalgo, and the main square.

Next, we will head to Atotonilco, known for the Sanctuary of Atotonilco, a Baroque church with impressive murals. You will learn about the significance of the Virgin of Guadalupe for the insurgents. After this visit, you will have 1 hour of free time for lunch.

After lunch, our final stop will be San Miguel de Allende, honoring Ignacio Allende. We will visit the museum home of the Allende family and the iconic Gothic church of San Miguel.

Finally, we will return to the meeting point in Querétaro to conclude this tour of 8 to 10 hours.
