Are you ready to experience some of the best Mexican delights? This tour invites you to discover exquisite wines and artisanal cheeses from the Querétaro region, where vineyards harmoniously blend with the breathtaking landscape.

Tour Overview

At the scheduled time, we will convene at your hotel or at the entrance of the Museo Regional de Querétaro. Once we are prepared, our journey will take us to the Magical Town of Tequisquiapan, renowned for its charming, cobbled streets, artistic vibe, and rich history of winemaking.

After a one-hour drive, our first destination will be La Mexicana Olé delicatessen, where we will indulge in local artisan cheeses paired with a glass of outstanding Querétaro wine. A knowledgeable sommelier will guide us through the unique flavors and aromas that characterize each type, transforming this into a delightful sensory journey.

Following this tasting, you'll have two hours of leisure in Tequisquiapan, giving you the chance to wander through the main square, explore the craft markets, or savor the beloved local specialty known as cheese bread. After this time, we will reconvene and proceed to Freixenet de México, one of the most distinguished wineries in the area.

At this winery, we’ll delve into the wine production process, covering everything from grape picking to fermentation and bottling. We’ll also tour their underground cellars, which lie 25 meters (82 feet) below the surface. Here, we’ll see how the unique altitude and semi-arid climate of the Bajío enhance the wine quality and will get the chance to taste a wine produced on-site. Additionally, you'll take home a commemorative glass to remember the experience.

Our next stop will introduce us to the Magic Town of San Sebastián de Bernal, a location celebrated for its exceptional food culture. Here, you will have two hours to enjoy a meal, explore the quaint village, and admire the third-largest monolith on the planet, known as the Peña de Bernal.

In conclusion, we will return to Santiago de Querétaro, concluding our excursion and dropping you off at our original meeting point after this enriching 9-hour journey.
