Do you want to sample the finest Mexican products? On this tour, we'll enjoy the delicious wines and cheeses from the state of Querétaro.
Tour Details
We'll meet in front of the Querétaro Regional Museum. Afterward, we'll travel to the Magical Town of Tequisquiapan, known for its cobbled streets and wine-making tradition.
Our first stop will be at the La Mexicana Olé delicatessen, where we'll taste artisan cheeses and a glass of Querétaro wine, introduced by an expert sommelier focusing on flavors and aromas.
You'll then have 2 hours of free time in Tequisquiapan to explore its main square, visit craft markets, or try the local cheese bread. We'll reconvene and proceed to Freixenet de México, a notable winery.
At Freixenet, we'll learn about the wine-making process from harvesting to bottling, and visit their underground cellars located 25 m (82 ft) below ground. We'll discover how the climate influences wine quality and taste one of their wines, receiving a souvenir glass as a memento.
Next, we'll drive to the Magic Town of San Sebastián de Bernal, where you'll have 2 hours of free time for lunch, to explore the village, and view the Peña de Bernal.
Finally, we'll return to Santiago de Querétaro and conclude this 9-hour activity at the meeting point.
