Description

The adventure begins at 9:30 am in the central park of Quero, where we'll gather before heading to a local ranch to initiate our horseback riding journey through the picturesque surroundings of Cruz de Mayo, San Antonio, and Rumipamba. Upon arrival at the ranch, participants will receive essential instructions and preparations to confidently mount their horses and set off. A snack break amidst the tranquil natural landscape will be provided to replenish your energy.

As we navigate through each community of Cruz de Mayo, San Antonio, and Rumipamba, located near the Hacienda Hipolongo, we will share insights about the everyday undertakings of the Chagras, known as the farmers of the Ecuadorian Andes, with a focus on their vital role in livestock farming, a crucial economic activity in the region.

The ride continues, allowing you to appreciate the beautiful landscape around Quero as we make our way back to the hacienda. Upon return, a traditional lunch awaits, consisting of a starter, main dish, and a drink, providing a satisfying end to the day’s journey. Participants will also have the opportunity to explore the hacienda's facilities at their leisure.

After a fulfilling seven-hour experience, we will conclude our tour back at the initial meeting point in Quero.
