This three-day journey invites you to explore the scenic Quero region, where you will immerse yourself in nature and experience the charm of a traditional hacienda estate over the course of two nights.

Quero & Traditional Hacienda: 3-Day Exploration

Day 1

We will begin the adventure with a hotel pickup at the scheduled time, followed by a drive to Ambato. Upon our arrival, you'll partake in a brief exploration of this quaint town, wandering through streets rich in history and culture that are certain to leave a lasting impression. Don't miss the chance to taste the famed ice creams from the local cathedral.

After our tour, we will continue to Hacienda Hipolongo Cruz de Mayo, where you'll be warmly welcomed before having some time to unpack and prepare for the afternoon's events.

You will then be treated to a tasty lunch, featuring traditional regional cuisine. Post-lunch, we’ll take a tour of the hacienda's facilities, providing insight into the daily lives of the farm animals and the processes of harvesting local products.

Our afternoon will lead us to the town of Quero, where we will stop by the Quero Central Park and the historic Diocesan Sanctuary of Nuestra Señora del Monte. Following this, we’ll explore Puñachizac, a hidden gem within Quero, home to the artisan brewery La Quereñita, renowned for its unique potato-based beer!

As the sun sets, we return to the hacienda for a delightful dinner, enjoying the warmth of a campfire and tales from yesteryear.

Day 2

Our second day begins with a hearty breakfast, fueling us for the adventures ahead. We’ll first venture into the pine forest at the hacienda’s higher elevation, embarking on an invigorating hiking trail. Keep an eye out for the local wildlife; with a bit of luck, we may encounter eagles, wolves, rabbits, and potentially even wild cattle.

After returning to the hacienda, a traditional local lunch awaits us. Later, engage in hands-on activities to gain a deeper understanding of the local customs and life in the páramo.

We conclude the day with a delightful dinner.

Day 3

On our final morning at Hacienda Hipolongo Cruz de Mayo, enjoy a satisfying breakfast followed by some leisure time to gather your belongings.

We will then transport you back to your hotel, aiming for an estimated arrival around 11 am.
