Barceló Rum Historical Centre Tour

On this guided tour of the Barceló Rum Historical Centre, we'll visit the facilities of the most famous rum factory in the Dominican Republic and enjoy a tasting.

Description

Located on the outskirts of San Pedro de Macorís, the Barceló Rum Historical Centre is the most famous rum factory in the Dominican Republic. At the scheduled time, we'll meet at the main entrance to begin our visit.

We will first visit the barrel room to understand the aging process of rum, learn about sugarcane cultivation, and the phases of distillation. Next, we will enter the blending room, where we will see how taste, smell, and colour are achieved in the final product.

Our tour continues in the bottling, labelling, and packaging rooms, showcasing how rum is distributed globally. Our visit will conclude at the tasting bar after approximately one hour, where you'll enjoy a selected tasting.

Cocktail and two rums (1 hour and 15 minutes): try a cocktail and two rums including Gran Añejo and Dark Series.Cocktail making + tasting of 1 cocktail and 2 rums (1 hour and 35 minutes): make your own cocktail and enjoy another cocktail plus 2 rums.Cocktail and 4 rums (1 hour and 15 minutes): taste one cocktail and four rums including Añejo, Gran Añejo, and Dark Series.Cocktail and three premium rums (1 hour and 45 minutes): enjoy a cocktail and three premium rums, including Imperial, Imperial Onyx, and Porto.
