If you like butterflies, our day trip to the Mindo Butterfly Garden is the perfect activity for you. We'll set off from Quito and spend the day learning all about these fascinating insects.
Mindo Butterfly Garden Day Trip
Having met up at 7:30 am on Avenida de los Shyris & Holanda, we'll hop aboard our minibus. We'll drive to the village of Mindo, located in the Andes, and step into the incredible world of the butterflies.
Once we've arrived, you'll take a souvenir photo in the famous Central Park. Afterwards, we'll take a guided tour of the Mindo Butterfly Garden.
During the tour, our guide will provide information on the life cycles of these colourful insects. As well as butterflies, you'll also see hummingbirds and beautiful plants such as orchids.
After the tour, we'll have a picnic lunch. You'll then have some free time to explore Mindo on your own. After learning more about this town, we'll visit a chocolate factory to understand chocolate production and taste some samples.
It'll then be time to return to the city of Quito, concluding our activity at around 7:30 pm.
