With this street food tour of Quito, we'll discover the most delicious flavours of the capital of Ecuador as we walk through its streets.
Description
We will meet at the Plaza Grande at the designated time to start the tour.
First, we will visit the Archbishop's Palace, where we will try traditional sweets like mistelas.
Next, we will head to the San Francisco Market to sample various juices and smoothies made from exotic fruits, and taste the typical dish 'mote con chicharrón'.
We will then visit different 'huecas' to taste snacks such as humitas, tamales, and quimbolitos, paired with coffee or morocho, a traditional Ecuadorian drink. Additionally, we will try more elaborate dishes like 'encebollado', a fish soup, and ceviche.
Our next stop will be at Ronda for paila ice cream and the history of Equatorian coffee, renowned for its aroma and quality.
Finally, we will visit the best chocolate in the country at the Yumbos Chocolate shop after 3.5 hours to conclude the tour.
