On this private tour of Rabat, you will visit significant landmarks in Morocco's capital, including the Hassan Tower and the Medina, accompanied by a personal guide.
Tour Details
The tour begins with hotel pickup. We will explore the narrow streets of the Medina, rich in history since the 12th century.
Our first stop will be the Kasbah of the Udayas, a historical fortress located at the mouth of the Bou Regreg River. We will discuss the Almohad Caliphate and the Alawi dynasty, who restored the Kasbah.
Next, we will visit the beautiful Andalusian Garden and the National Jewellery Museum, showcasing Andalusian influences. We will then head to Sebbat Souk, one of Rabat's famous markets, filled with stalls offering textiles, rugs, and jewellery.
The final stop will be the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, a prime example of Arab-Muslim architecture located in Hassan Tower Square. We will discuss the contributions of over 400 Moroccan artists who worked on its decoration. The tour concludes here after 3 hours.
