Ticket Details

Rambouillet Castle, completed in the 18th century, is significant for its decoration and historical figures such as Louis XVI, Napoleon I, Charles de Gaulle, and Valéry Giscard d'Estaing. This ticket allows you to explore the palace's halls and rooms at your own pace. Learn about historical international summits hosted here, such as the first G7 meeting in 1975 and the Kosovo peace negotiations in 1999.

Your ticket grants access to the castle's annexed buildings: the dairy of Queen Marie Antoinette, a gift from King Louis XVI, and the House of Shells, a decorated guest house. It also includes access to the gardens, featuring flowerbeds, parks, and a large ornamental pond with six artificial islands.

Opening Times

Rambouillet Castle opens every day except Tuesdays:

April 1 to September 30: from 10 am to 12 pm and 1:30 pm to 6 pmOctober 1 to March 31: from 10 am to 12 pm and 1:30 pm to 5 pm

Final admission is 30 minutes before closing.

Special Opening Times

On Friday, November 7, 2025, the castle will close in the morning and open at 1:30 pm.

Admission is free for:

Young people from the EU aged 18 to 25.Children under 18 years old, regardless of nationality.

To obtain free admission, visit the ticket office with a certifying document. Admission is also free for everyone on the first Sunday of the month between January 1 and March 31, between November 1 and December 31, and the third weekend of September.
