Ravenna's Mosaics

Ravenna is known as the city of mosaics, possessing the richest collection of Early Christian mosaics in the world. This collection of monuments is part of UNESCO's list of World Heritage sites.

This ticket allows you to visit the main diocesan monuments, accessing 3 to 5 of the following attractions: the Basilica of San Vitale, the Basilica of Sant'Apollinare Nuovo, the Archbishop Museum, the Mausoleum of Galla Placidia, or the Baptistery of Neon. Inside, admire beautiful mosaics of Byzantine origin, dating from the 5th to 6th centuries AD, and interpret the iconography and meanings behind each work, reflecting the various cultures and religions of the time.

The mosaics also narrate the history of the city of Romagna, showcasing significant figures and events like the founding of Civita Classis, visible in the Basilica of Sant'Apollinare Nuovo.

Ticket to 3 monuments: includes the Basilica of San Vitale, the Basilica of Sant'Apollinare Nuovo, and the Archbishop Museum, including the Chapel of St Andrew and the Throne of Maximian.Ticket to 5 monuments: in addition to the three sites above, this ticket includes the Mausoleum of Galla Placidia and the Baptistery of Neon.

The ticket is valid for one day; three hours is sufficient to visit all 5 sites.
