Ravenna's Mosaics
Ravenna, known as the city of mosaics, has the richest collection of Early Christian mosaics in the world. This collection is part of UNESCO's list of World Heritage sites.
This ticket allows you to visit the main diocesan monuments and access 3 to 5 of the following attractions: the Basilica of San Vitale, the Basilica of Sant'Apollinare Nuovo, the Archbishop Museum, the Mausoleum of Galla Placidia, or the Baptistery of Neon.
Inside these sites, you will see beautiful mosaics of Byzantine origin from the 5th to 6th centuries AD. You will learn to interpret the iconography and the messages behind each work, reflecting the intersection of various cultures and religions and significant historical events.
