Discover the origin of the famous French delicacy with this Electric Bike Champagne Tour around Hautvillers and Mareuil-sur-Ay, two beautiful towns near Reims.
Tour Details
At the designated time, we'll meet in front of the Reims train station. From here, we'll take a minibus to Avenue du Champagne in Epernay.
We'll make our way towards a typical country house named Le Clos Corbier, where our electric bikes will be waiting for us.
Then, we'll set off on an electric bike tour around the surrounding vineyards. During the route, we'll explore champagne terroirs and visit the village of Hautvillers, including the church where Dom Pérignon is buried, the 17th-century monk credited with inventing the champagne-making process.
The bicycle route will conclude at Le Clos Corbier, where we'll visit a family-run winery and enjoy a tasting of different champagne varieties. Following that, a traditional French lunch will be served, including bread, cheeses, pâtés, quiches, and rose cookies, all sourced from the Reims area.
After lunch, we'll return to the Reims train station, concluding this 7-hour activity.
