Discover the origin of the famous French delicacy with this Electric Bike Champagne Tour around Hautvillers and Mareuil-sur-Ay, two towns near Reims.
Tour Details
At the designated time, we'll meet in front of the Reims train station. From here, we'll take a minibus to Avenue du Champagne in Epernay.
We'll proceed to a country house named Le Clos Corbier, where electric bikes will be waiting. We'll then embark on an electric bike tour through the vineyards, discovering champagne terroirs along the way. The tour continues to the village of Hautvillers to visit the church where Dom Pérignon is buried, recognized as the inventor of the champagne-making process.
The electric bicycle route concludes at Le Clos Corbier, where we will visit a family-run winery and enjoy a tasting of different varieties of champagne. Following that, a traditional French lunch will be served, including bread, cheeses, pates, quiches, and rose cookies, all sourced from the Reims area.
After lunch, we'll return to the Reims train station, concluding this 7-hour activity.
