Discover the wine tradition in northern France with the Reims & Hautvillers Champagne Tour. Explore the birthplace of French champagne and taste their sparkling wines.
Tour Details
We will gather in front of the Reims train station at the designated time and embark on a minibus journey to the vineyards on the outskirts of the city.
Our initial visit will be to a family-owned winery, where members will guide us through the grape pressing room, providing insights into their artisanal champagne production process. Following the tour, tastings of various signature sparkling wines will be offered.
After bidding farewell to the family, we will continue our tour through the scenic vineyard landscape recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will explore the terroirs, designated parcels that create ideal conditions for cultivating grapes used in sparkling wine production.
Next, we will visit the village of Hautvillers, known as one of the birthplaces of French champagne. Passing by the Church of Saint-Sindulphe, the resting place of Dom Pérignon, we will head to another family winery for a champagne tasting session along with local products.
We will conclude our journey with a return to the Reims train station, arriving approximately four and a half hours after the start.
