On this small group tour of St. John's, we will visit sites such as the Cape Spear Lighthouse and Signal Hill, and enjoy a 2-hour boat ride for humpback whale spotting.
Tour Details
At the scheduled time, we will pick you up from your hotel to explore the capital of Newfoundland. This tour includes a visit to St. John's by land and sea.
We will first visit the Cape Spear Lighthouse, the easternmost point in Canada and the oldest lighthouse in Newfoundland. You will have free time to take in views of the Atlantic and potentially spot icebergs.
Next, we will explore the historic city, viewing attractions like Jellybean Row, George Street, and Quidi Vidi. Be sure to have your cameras ready.
We will then proceed to Signal Hill, a site significant for the Seven Years' War and the location where Marconi received the first transatlantic wireless signal.
Finally, we will board a boat for a 2-hour journey through the icy waters of Newfoundland, seeing Cape Spear, Cabot Tower, and Fort Amherst from the sea. There is a chance to see humpback whales as well.
After 6 hours of activities, we will return you to your hotel.
