Tour Details
At the scheduled time, we will pick you up from your hotel to start the exploration of the capital of Newfoundland. We will begin at the Cape Spear Lighthouse, the easternmost point in Canada and the oldest lighthouse in Newfoundland. You will have free time to enjoy the views of the Atlantic and potential icebergs.
Next, we will explore key attractions in historic St. John's, such as Jellybean Row, George Street, and Quidi Vidi.
Our tour will proceed to Signal Hill, where we will discuss its significance during the Seven Years' War and the role of St. John's in world communication, noting that it is where Marconi received the first transatlantic wireless signal.
To conclude, we will head to the port to board a boat for a 2-hour journey around Newfoundland's icy waters. This trip will offer views of Cape Spear, Cabot Tower, and Fort Amherst, and we may also spot humpback whales.
Following the tour, we will return to your hotel after 6 hours of activities.
