On this day trip to the Itaúba reservoir, we will experience the scenery surrounding the hydroelectric power plant through a boat ride.
Description
At the specified time, we will meet at the Termas Romanas Recanto Maestro and board our vehicle for an 80 km (50 mile) journey to the dock at the Itaúba reservoir, significant to the development of Rio Grande do Sul.
Upon arrival at the port, near the hydroelectric power plant, we will embark on a boat for a 10 km (6.2 miles) ride to the Alagüe cliffs, recognized as one of the area's scenic highlights.
During the boat ride, we will navigate the emerald waters of the reservoir, viewing the Estrela and Benzedura waterfalls and the Butucatu geological formation, which is a result of Gondwana's desertification.
Participants will appreciate the landscape and local flora and fauna, along with stories of regional legends, including one about a farmer who compensated his workers by pushing them into the water.
Eventually, we will return to the dock, board our vehicle again, and travel back to Restinga Sêca, concluding the experience approximately 5.5 hours after the start of the activity.
