On this day trip to the Itaúba reservoir, we'll enjoy a boat ride around the landscape near this hydroelectric power plant.
Description
At the indicated time, we'll meet at the Termas Romanas Recanto Maestro. We will board our vehicle for an 80 km (50 mile) journey to the dock at the Itaúba reservoir, significant in the development of Rio Grande do Sul.
Upon arrival at the port near the hydroelectric power plant, we will board a boat for a 10 km (6.2 miles) ride to the Alagüe cliffs, noted as one of the area's scenic spots.
During the boat ride, we will navigate the emerald waters of the reservoir, view the Estrela and Benzedura waterfalls, and see the Butucatu geological formation, linked to the desertification of the ancient continent of Gondwana.
We will appreciate the local flora and fauna and share some legends from the area, including a tale about a farmer who paid his workers by pushing them into the water.
Lastly, we will return to the dock to board our vehicle for the return trip to Restinga Sêca, concluding the activity approximately 5.5 hours after it begins.
