On this sculpture garden day trip, we will visit an art space in Júlio de Castilhos, which is home to over 600 statues.
Sculpture Garden
At the scheduled time, we will meet at Hotel Recanto Maestro in Restinga Sêca, where a vehicle will take you to the Sculpture Gardens in Júlio de Castilhos.
After approximately 1 hour of travel, we will arrive at this artistic space, which opened in 2005. The garden currently features over 600 pieces made from sandstone by artist Rogério Bertoldo. It is the largest exhibition of this type of sculpture in Latin America.
The sculptures are organized thematically, integrating with nature and creating dream-like scenes. The collection includes normal-sized statues and several over 4 meters (13 feet) tall. You may also see the artist working in his workshop, showcasing his unique technique.
To conclude, we will enjoy a snack consisting of cava, meats, and sweets, set in the beautiful gardens.
This tour of the Sculpture Garden will end with a return to the meeting point in Restinga Sêca after a 5-hour long day.
