Arkadi Monastery, Margarites & Melidoni Cave Tour

After picking you up from your hotel in Rethymno between 7 am and 8 am, we'll drive to the Arkadi Monastery. Here, you'll have an hour of free time to explore and admire its architectural beauty. Visiting the museum is recommended to learn about its history, including events from 1866 and Venetian rule.

Next, we will go to Margarites, a village known for its traditional pottery. You will observe an expert craftsman in a workshop demonstrating local product creation. Before departing Margarites, you'll have half an hour for lunch at a local restaurant.

Our tour will continue to a small oil factory, where you'll learn about the production of one of Crete's key products and its evolution over the centuries.

Finally, we will visit Melidoni Cave, located over 220 meters high, where you can see impressive stalactites and stalagmites. The cave has served for religious ceremonies and as a shelter during wartime.

We'll conclude the tour by returning to your hotel in Rethymno between 5 pm and 6 pm.
