Hiking in Imbros Gorge

Between 7 am and 8:30 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Rethymno and head to the Imbros Gorge, the second most important canyon in Crete after Samaria Gorge. Upon arrival at Imbros, located about 700 metres above sea level, we'll begin hiking through the first section, known as Porofarago or Porolagos. As we descend, the path narrows and the walls increase in height.

After a little over an hour's walk, we will reach the Stenada, the narrowest point of the gorge, where the walls are only 1.6 metres apart.

Following the hike, we will travel by minibus to Chora Sfakion or Franfokastello, a beachfront castle in southern Crete, ideal for relaxation and a refreshing dip. We will conclude the tour and return to your hotel in Rethymno between 6 pm and 6:30 pm.
