An iceberg-filled glacier lagoon, awe-inspiring waterfalls and a traditional village: explore the icy landscapes of southern Iceland on this day trip from Reykjavik.
Description
We'll pick you up from your hotel in Reykjavik and set off to the Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon. Throughout the journey, you'll enjoy the unique natural landscapes of Iceland.
We'll make our first stop at Seljalandsfoss, a 200 feet (60 metres) waterfall where you can go behind the waterfall to see the view from within the cave.
Continuing on our route, we'll drive through the Fjadrargljufur River canyon before making a stop in Vík í Mýrdal. In this small seafront village, you can see natural rock formations located off the coast and have time for lunch (not included).
The highlight will be the visit to Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, an iceberg-filled lake with stunning landscapes. Explore the black sand beaches where you may also see seals.
At the end of the day, we'll return to the minibus for the journey back to Reykjavik, arriving 14 hours later.
