Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon Tour

An iceberg-filled glacier lagoon, waterfalls, and a village: explore the icy landscapes of southern Iceland on this day trip from Reykjavik.

Description

We'll pick you up from your hotel in Reykjavik at the specified time and begin our drive to the Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon. During the journey, you'll experience the unique natural landscapes of Iceland.

Our first stop will be at Seljalandsfoss, a waterfall with a drop of 200 feet (60 meters) in front of a cave. You can go behind the waterfall for a unique view from within the cave.

We will continue through the canyons formed by the Fjadrargljufur River before stopping in Vík í Mýrdal. In this small coastal village, often called Vík, you will see the natural rock formations offshore. You will have time to enjoy lunch here (not included).

The highlight of the day will be visiting the Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, an iceberg-filled lake with stunning landscapes. You can explore the black sand beaches and, if fortunate, see some of the seals in the area.

At the end of the day, we will return to the minibus for the journey back to Reykjavik, arriving approximately 14 hours later.
