Northern Lights Tour

This tour is ideal for witnessing the Northern Lights in Iceland. At the scheduled time, we will pick you up from your hotel in Reykjavík and head to an area free of light pollution essential for viewing the Northern Lights.

During the tour, we will learn about the formation of the aurora borealis, a phenomenon occurring almost exclusively in polar regions, creating multi-coloured waves in the night sky. We will discuss superstitions related to the lights and the various types of aurorae.

In a natural setting, you will have time to admire the northern lights, walk under the colorful curtain, take pictures and enjoy a beautiful moment under the stars. Hot chocolate and traditional sweet snacks will be provided for a comforting experience.

After 4 hours, we will return you to your hotel in Reykjavík.

Important Information

As a natural phenomenon, we cannot guarantee sightings of the Northern Lights. If the lights do not appear, we will provide another opportunity to see them, but no refund will be provided.

The best time for visibility is between September and April, with occasional sightings at the end of August. Ideally, nights should be dark with minimal artificial light.
