Reykjanes Day Trip

After picking you up from your hotel in Reykjavik between 8:30 and 9 am, we'll set off on our day trip to the Reykjanes Peninsula.

Our first stop will be Kleifarvatn, the largest lake on the peninsula, rumored to be home to a mysterious monster. Next, we'll visit the Krýsuvík geothermal area, known for its brightly colored soil, hot springs, fumaroles, and maars. We'll also see Grænavatn, a green lake formed by eruptions.

Afterward, we’ll head to the coast to enjoy the sea breeze and watch various bird species. You will also see Reykjanesviti, the oldest lighthouse in Iceland.

The final stop will be the bridge between two continents, which crosses the tectonic plates of North America and Eurasia. By around 2:30 pm, we'll return to Reykjavik.
