Reykjanes Day Trip

After picking you up from your hotel in Reykjavik between 8:30 and 9 am, we'll set off on our day trip to the Reykjanes Peninsula. Arriving at our destination, you'll be captivated by the unusual landscapes. The first stop will be at Kleifarvatn, the largest lake on the peninsula, rumored to be home to a mysterious monster.

Next, we'll visit the Krýsuvík geothermal area, featuring brightly colored soil, hot springs, fumaroles, and maars. We'll also visit Grænavatn, a green lake formed by eruptions.

Continuing to the coast, you'll experience the sea breeze while watching various bird species. Here, we will see Reykjanesviti, the oldest lighthouse in Iceland.

The last stop will be the bridge between two continents, crossing between the tectonic plates of North America and Eurasia. At the end of the day, we’ll return to Reykjavik, arriving around 2:30 pm.
