Reykjanes Day Trip
After picking you up from your hotel in Reykjavik between 8:30 and 9 am, we will start our day trip to the Reykjanes Peninsula.
Our first stop will be at Kleifarvatn, the largest lake on the peninsula, rumored to be home to a mysterious monster. Next, we will visit the Krýsuvík geothermal area, noted for its colorful soil, hot springs, fumaroles, and maars. Here, we will see Grænavatn, a green lake formed by volcanic activity.
We will then proceed to the coast to enjoy the refreshing sea breeze and observe various bird species. The Reykjanesviti, the oldest lighthouse in Iceland, will also be part of our visit.
The last stop will be the bridge between two continents, connecting the tectonic plates of North America and Eurasia, offering a remarkable experience.
We will return to Reykjavik around 2:30 pm.
