Mesmerizing lakes, volcanic areas, and the rift between the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates await you on Reykjanes Peninsula. Enjoy the natural wonders of Iceland on this day trip from Reykjavik!

Reykjanes Day Trip

After picking you up from your hotel in Reykjavik between 8:30 and 9 am, we'll set off on our day trip to the Reykjanes Peninsula.

Upon arrival, you'll see the unusual landscapes. Our first stop will be at Kleifarvatn, the largest lake on the peninsula, rumored to be home to a mysterious monster.

Next, we'll visit the Krýsuvík geothermal area, characterized by brightly colored soil, hot springs, fumaroles, and maars. We'll also explore Grænavatn, a green lake formed by eruptions.

Moving onwards to the coast, enjoy the sea breeze and watch various bird species. We'll also see Reykjanesviti, the oldest lighthouse in Iceland.

The final stop will be the bridge between two continents, crossing between the tectonic plates of North America and Eurasia. We'll return to Reykjavik around 2:30 pm.
