Reykjavik Fishing Trip

If you're a fan of fishing or just want a day at sea, this activity is for you. Meet your guide at the scheduled time at 5 AEgisgardur, where you'll board a fishing boat for your sea angling adventure around Reykjavik.

Set sail over Faxa Bay, where local inhabitants have sourced food for centuries. Species of fish that you might catch include Atlantic mackerel, pollock, cod, and haddock.

Your fishing day will culminate in lunch, where you'll eat your catch on board. The crew will cook your freshly caught fish and serve it with potatoes, homemade sauce, and water.

Additionally, if you do the tour between May and August, you'll make a stop at Akurey Island, known as Puffin Island for its large populations of seabirds. After birdwatching, you will return to the departure point after three hours of fishing off the coast of Iceland.

Do you need to know how to fish?

Everyone is welcome! Whether you are an experienced angler or trying fishing for the first time, you'll enjoy this activity. The boat captain will provide lessons on fishing techniques if needed.
