Reykjavik Fishing Trip

If you're a fan of fishing, or if you just fancy a day at sea, this activity is made for you! Meet your guide at the scheduled time at 1 Hlésgata Street, where you'll board a fishing boat for your sea angling adventure around Reykjavik.

Set sail over Faxa Bay, where you might find species such as Atlantic mackerel, pollock, cod, and haddock on your fishing trip from Reykjavik. Your fishing day will culminate in lunch: you'll eat your catch on board the boat, with the crew cooking it and serving it with potatoes, homemade sauce, and water.

If you do the tour between May and August, you will also stop at Akurey Island, known as Puffin Island, to see the seabirds during the summer months. After birdwatching, you will return to the departure point after three hours of fishing off the coast of Iceland.

Do you need to know how to fish?

Everyone is welcome! Whether you're an experienced angler or it's your first time at sea with a fishing rod, you'll enjoy this activity. If you lack experience, the boat captain will provide a lesson on fishing techniques in Reykjavik.
