Join us on a journey along Iceland's coast to witness the whales of the North Atlantic in their natural habitat. Experience these creatures up close.

Activity Details

We’ll pick you up from the nearest point to your hotel in Reykjavík and head to the harbor for a boat trip across Faxaflói Bay, enjoying views of Reykjavík from the water.

At sea, we’ll spot humpback whales in their natural habitat. The coastline is known for these whales, and with luck, we might also see dolphins or killer whales. Look out for seabirds as well.

During the journey, we'll learn about these protected mammals and the significance of conserving biodiversity in Atlantic waters. After viewing the whales and local birds, we’ll return to Reykjavík.

The tour lasts approximately 2.5 to 3.5 hours.

Whale Sightings

Faxaflói Bay is ideal for whale watching; however, sightings can vary based on ocean currents, winds, and weather conditions. The Arctic climate can change rapidly, influencing animal behavior.

The duration of the tour may vary due to weather and the time needed to locate the whales. Activities are conducted with respect for their natural habitat.
