The Snæfellsjökull National Park is renowned for its diverse landscapes. Discover black sand beaches, charming villages, and the notable Kirkjufell mountain on this day trip from Reykjavik.

Activity Details

At the designated time, we will pick you up from your selected meeting point in Reykjavik and begin our journey through Iceland's interior. Our first destination is Kirkjufell, a popular photographic site and featured in Game of Thrones.

Next, we will visit the Snæfellsjökull glacier atop an active stratovolcano, capped with perpetual snow visible from the bay of Reykjavik.

Our route then leads to the Berserkjahraun Lava Fields, referenced by Jules Verne in his novel Journey to the Center of the Earth. We will encounter various lunar landscapes, waterfalls, lakes, and rivers, as well as rocky coastlines and historic fishing villages.

We will explore the Djúpalónssandur black sand beach, known for a shipwreck from 1948. The tour will proceed to the Arnarstapi coast and the black church of Buðarkirkja, noted for its architecture.

We continue to Ytri Tunga Beach, home to a colony of seals, and enjoy a traditional meal at the farm, though you may bring your own food if preferred.

We'll return to the starting point approximately 11 to 12 hours after the tour begins.
