Discover the most spectacular landscapes in the country on this south coast tour, where you'll see waterfalls, volcanic plains and the Jökulsárlón glacier lake.

South Coast Tour: Glaciers and Waterfalls

The tour departs from Reykjavík early in the morning, crossing volcanic plains that separate the coast from the interior mountains.

The first stop is the Skógafoss waterfall, over 30 meters tall. After exploring the area, there will be free time for lunch with scenic views. On sunny days, rainbow appearances from the waterfall's mist may occur.

Next, the tour proceeds to the Vatnajökull glacier, where the grand landscape of its glacial lake is revealed.

The journey continues to the Jökulsárlón glacier, which flows into a large lake filled with floating icebergs. Free time will be provided to explore the lake and the volcanic sand beaches, which are frequented by seals and local bird species.

Lastly, we visit Seljalandsfoss, a waterfall that pours over a mountain cave. Participants can enter the cave and view the plains of Iceland through the waterfall.

Finally, the tour concludes with a return to the starting point after 14 hours.

Meeting Points

During booking, a list of meeting points will include most hotels in Reykjavík. Next to your hotel name, you will find the nearest meeting point. Many central streets are not accessible by bus, so you must reach a nearby location marked as a "bus stop" with a number.

For example, for a pickup at "20:30 - 1919 Hotel Radisson BLU (Pick up at bus stop no 4 - Tryggvagata)," be ready at 8:30 pm at bus stop 4 (Tryggvagata). Details of the stop location will be in your reservation confirmation.
