Waterfalls & South Coast of Iceland Tour
After picking you up from your selected meeting point in Reykjavik at the indicated time, we'll depart for a tour of the south coast of Iceland. We'll admire the lava fields at the foot of Hengill Mountain. On clear days, we may see the Hekla and Eyjafjallajökull volcanoes, as well as the Vestmannaeyjar archipelago.
Our first stop will be at Reynisfjara, a black sand beach known for the Reynisdrangar basalt stacks. You'll explore this unique beach filled with black stones as you hear the legend about trolls who sought to destroy a boat against the rocks.
After enjoying the coastal scenery, we'll visit the village of Vík, where you will have around 30 minutes for lunch. This is the southernmost town in Iceland.
Next, we will visit the Skógafoss waterfall, where the river creates a 60-meter sheet of water. You can take photos of the rainbows often seen through the falling droplets.
Our final stop will be at the Seljalandsfoss waterfall. Here, we'll climb to the cave behind the falls for a unique view of the Icelandic landscape through the water curtain.
After a full day of exploring the waterfalls and southern coast of Iceland, we will return to the original departure points in Reykjavik.
