Enjoy the unique experience of whale watching in Faxaflói Bay off the coast of Reykjavik. Your speedboat will allow you to get up close to the incredible humpbacks!

Whale Watching by Speedboat

At the selected time, we'll meet at the meeting point of your choice in Reykjavik. We'll board a speedboat that will take us to Faxaflói Bay, home to humpback whales.

During our 2-hour speedboat cruise, we'll spot humpback whales along with other marine life like killer whales and dolphins. Sightings can vary based on the time of year.

This tour is conducted aboard a 40-foot (12 metre) speedboat, ensuring safety while getting close to the animals. Our English-speaking guide will provide information about humpback whales and the importance of their conservation.

In the summer season, we'll approach Akurey Island, known for its puffin population. You can also enjoy views of the Reykjavik coast. Don't forget your camera!

The tour ends at the original departure point.

Meeting points

When you reserve, you'll see a list of hotels in Reykjavik with the nearest meeting point indicated. As most central streets are not accessible by bus, you'll need to go to the specified meeting point labeled as "Bus stop" and a number.

For example, if you choose "8:30 pm - 1919 Hotel Radisson BLU (Please stand by for pickup at bus stop no 4 - Tryggvagata)", be ready at 8:30 pm at bus stop number 4 (Tryggvagata). Details about the stops will be in the booking confirmation.
