Whale Watching by Speedboat

At the selected time, we'll meet at the meeting point of your choice in Reykjavik. We'll board a speedboat for a trip to Faxaflói Bay, home to humpback whales.

During our 2-hour speedboat cruise, we'll spot humpback whales and possibly other marine life including killer whales and dolphins. The sightings can vary based on the season.

This tour is conducted on a 40-foot (12 metre) speedboat, allowing us to safely approach the animals. Our English-speaking guide will share information about the humpback whales and the importance of protecting them.

If you choose to go in the summer, we'll visit Akurey Island, known for its puffin population. The tour offers views of the coast of Reykjavik, so bring your camera!

The tour concludes at the original departure point.

Meeting points

Upon reservation, you'll see a list of hotels in Reykjavik with the nearest meeting point indicated as "Bus stop" and a number. For example, if you select "8:30 pm - 1919 Hotel Radisson BLU," be ready at 8:30 pm at bus stop number 4 (Tryggvagata). Details on these stops will be included in the booking confirmation.
