Enjoy the unique experience of whale watching in the Faxaflói Bay off the coast of Reykjavik. Your speedboat will allow you to get up close to the incredible humpbacks!

Whale Watching by Speedboat

At the selected time, we'll meet at the meeting point of your choice in Reykjavik. We'll board a speedboat that will take us to Faxaflói Bay, home to the humpback whale.

During our 2-hour speedboat cruise, we'll enjoy spotting humpback whales and possibly other marine creatures like killer whales and dolphins. The sightings may vary depending on the season.

This tour is conducted aboard a 40-foot (12 metre) speedboat, ensuring close encounters with the animals in a safe environment. Our English-speaking guide will provide insights about humpback whales and the importance of their conservation.

In the summer season, we'll approach Akurey Island, known for its puffin population. Enjoy the views of the Reykjavik coast as we navigate the waves. Remember to bring your camera!

The tour concludes at the original departure point.

Meeting points

When reserving, you'll see a list of hotels in Reykjavik with the nearest meeting point next to their names. Most central streets are not bus-accessible, so you must reach the indicated meeting point marked as "Bus stop" and a number.

For instance, for "8:30 pm - 1919 Hotel Radisson BLU," be ready at 8:30 pm at bus stop number 4 (Tryggvagata). Location details for these stops will be included in your booking confirmation.
