Bring out your culinary side and learn how to make tzatziki, pitaroudia or gemista with this Greek cooking class. A unique gastronomic experience in Apollona, on the island of Rhodes.

Rhodes Cooking Class

The tour begins in the small village of Apollonia at 9:30 am, starting with a visit to an agricultural cooperative to observe the growing and preparation of local delicacies through traditional methods.

Next, we will visit the Apollonia Folklore Museum, showcasing traditional costumes, architecture, and ancient agricultural tools to enhance our understanding of Rhodes’ culture.

Following the museum, we will explore a small wine cellar where we will learn about Rhodes wine, including the types of grapes used and its recognition as one of Greece’s finest wines.

We will then proceed to a restaurant where we will prepare traditional Greek dishes, including tzatziki, pitaroudia, Greek salad, gemista, and dolmadakia. After cooking, we will sit down to taste our creations. The tour concludes at approximately 3 pm.

If you choose this option, pickup will occur at 8:30 am from various locations on the island of Rhodes: Kremasti, Paradeisi, Lalysos, Ixia, Rhodes Town, Kallithea, Faliraki, Afantou, Haraki, and Lindos.
