Explore one of Greece's best-kept secrets at your own pace with this full day trip to the island of Symi from Rhodes. Visit its historic monasteries, stroll through its charming streets and delve into its legendary mythology.

Symi Island Day Trip

Pickup will be from your hotel in Rhodes to take you to Mandraki Port. You will board a boat heading to Symi, a notable island in the Dodecanese chain.

Upon arrival, you will have the entire day to explore the island at your leisure. Stroll along the rocky coastline and admire the neoclassical buildings on the waterfront.

Symi is known as the birthplace of the Charities, also referred to as The Three Graces, which ties into its rich mythology. The island derives its name from the nymph Syme.

During your visit, there will be an opportunity to explore Ano Symi, where the Knights of St John Castle is located. We also recommend visiting the Monastery of St Michael the Archangel and the Monastery of Sotiris Megalos in Panormitis.

At the end of your day, you will reconvene at the designated time at Symi port for your return boat trip to Rhodes. The excursion will conclude with a drop-off at your hotel around 5 pm.
