Explore one of Greece's best-kept secrets at your own pace with this full day trip to the island of Symi from Rhodes. Visit its historic monasteries, stroll through its charming streets and delve into its legendary mythology.

Symi Island Day Trip

We'll pick you up from your hotel in Rhodes and take you to Mandraki Port. There, you'll board a boat that will take you to Symi, part of the Dodecanese island chain.

Upon reaching Symi, you'll have the entire day to explore the island at your leisure. Walking along its rocky coastline, you can admire the neoclassical buildings along the waterfront.

Symi is the birthplace of the Charities, also known as The Three Graces. The island is named after the nymph Syme, making Greek mythology integral to its culture.

During your visit, you can explore Ano Symi, home to the Knights of St John Castle. Recommended sites include the Monastery of St Michael the Archangel and the Monastery of Sotiris Megalos in Panormitis.

After a full day on the island, we'll meet at the agreed time at Symi port to return to Rhodes. The excursion concludes by dropping you off at your hotel at approximately 5 pm.
