Explore one of Greece's best-kept secrets at your own pace with this full day trip to the island of Symi from Rhodes. Visit its historic monasteries, stroll through its charming streets and delve into its legendary mythology.

Symi Island Day Trip

We'll pick you up from your hotel in Rhodes and take you to Mandraki Port, where you'll board a boat to Symi, part of the Dodecanese island chain.

Upon arrival at Symi, you'll have the entire day to explore the island at your leisure. Stroll along the rocky coastline and enjoy the neoclassical buildings on the waterfront.

Symi is the birthplace of the Charities, also known as The Three Graces, linked to Greek mythology. The island is named after the nymph Syme.

During your visit, consider exploring Ano Symi, where the Knights of St John Castle is located. Recommended visits include the Monastery of St Michael the Archangel, situated in a scenic bay, and the Monastery of Sotiris Megalos in Panormitis.

After a full day on the island, we will reconvene at the agreed time at Symi port for the return boat trip to Rhodes, concluding with a drop-off at your hotel around 5 pm.
