Explore one of Greece's best-kept secrets at your own pace with this full day trip to the island of Symi from Rhodes. Visit its historic monasteries, stroll through its charming streets and delve into its legendary mythology.

Symi Island Day Trip

We'll pick you up from your hotel in Rhodes and take you to Mandraki Port. There, you'll board a boat to Symi, part of the Dodecanese island chain.

Upon arrival in Symi, you will have the entire day free to explore the island at your leisure. As you walk along the rocky coastline, admire the neoclassical buildings on the waterfront.

Symi is the birthplace of the Charities, also known as The Three Graces, closely tied to Homer's mythology. The island derives its name from the nymph Syme.

During your visit, you can explore Ano Symi, home to the Knights of St John Castle. Consider visiting the Monastery of St Michael the Archangel, located in one of the island’s beautiful bays, and the Monastery of Sotiris Megalos in Panormitis.

At the end of the day, we will reconvene at the agreed time at Symi port and return by boat to Rhodes. You will be dropped off at your hotel at approximately 5 pm.
