Alvão Natural Park Hiking Tour

At the agreed time, we'll depart from Pena Aventura Park to explore the Alvão Natural Park on foot. This park is one of the major protected areas in northern Portugal, noted for its biodiversity and home to various endemic species such as wild cats, peregrine falcons, and the endangered Iberian wolf.

During the hike, we'll follow the tracks of the Iberian wolf, looking for signs of its presence, including footprints and droppings. The tour will take us through fields of heather and broom, allowing us to appreciate the natural landscape of the Alvão plain.

We will traverse typical regional landscapes, walking through birch and wild pine forests while observing birds of prey, ponds rich in amphibians and insects. A break will be provided where participants can enjoy an energy bar as needed.

After five hours of hiking through Alvão Natural Park, we will return to the starting point, concluding the tour.
