Pinhao, Lombo Branco & Sinagoga Hike

We'll pick you up at your hotel in Ribeira Grande at the designated time and head to Pinhao, the starting point of the hiking route.

Walking at nearly 2,000 feet above sea level, we'll explore the vegetation of the island of Santo Antão. The hike includes crossing streams and climbing hills, allowing for views of the green valleys. We will make stops to share interesting stories about the various towns on the island.

One of the towns visited will be Lombo Branco, where you will see local farmers and their diverse crops, as well as animals including cows, goats, horses, and donkeys.

In the final stretch, we will arrive at Sinagoga, historically home to a Jewish community that settled in Santo Antão. Sinagoga is noted for its natural pools, where - weather permitting - you can swim in its crystal clear waters.

After the hike, we will return to your hotel by minibus, concluding the excursion after a total of 4 hours.
