Pinhao, Lombo Branco & Sinagoga Hike

We'll pick you up at your hotel in Ribeira Grande at the designated time and start the journey to Pinhao, the beginning of the hiking route.

Hiking at nearly 2,000 feet above sea level, we'll explore the impressive vegetation of the island of Santo Antão. The route includes crossing streams and climbing hills, providing views of the green valleys. We will make stops to share stories about the towns of the island.

Our itinerary includes a visit to Lombo Branco, where we can observe local farmers and the variety of plants and animals in the area, including cows, goats, horses, and donkeys.

The final leg of our hike will take us to Sinagoga, a former site of a Jewish community expelled from Portugal. Sinagoga is known for its natural pools, where, weather permitting, you may swim in the crystal clear waters.

We'll conclude the tour by boarding the minibus and returning to your hotel. The total duration of the excursion is 4 hours.
