On this e-bike tour through Ribeira Grande, we will explore this municipality on São Miguel island, pedaling through its historic center and surroundings, where cliffs and hot springs await us.

We will meet at the parking lot next to Areal Beach of Santa Barbara in Ribeira Grande. Here, we will pick up our e-bikes and start pedaling through the historic center of Ribeira Grande.

Our visit will include significant sites such as the church of Espírito Santo, representative of baroque architecture in the Azores, the Eight Arches Bridge, and the City Hall with its Clock Tower.

Next, we will leave the center to tour the surroundings of Ribeira Grande, passing through fields and volcanic terrain, where we can observe springs, cliffs, and hydroelectric plants.

After exploring these landscapes, we will visit Caldeiras da Ribeira Grande. Here, we will see geothermal vents used for cooking and admire the thermal baths operational since the 19th century. We will also ascend to the viewpoints of Coroa da Mata and Santa Iria.

Finally, we will pedal back along the coastline, enjoying the scenic views of the beaches as we ride, concluding the tour 4 hours later.
