Santo Antão Island Day Trip

At 9 am, we will pick you up at your hotel in Santo Antão for a private tour of this island. The first stop will be the Cova de Paul, the largest crater of the archipelago, with a diameter of 1 kilometer. A viewpoint will provide spectacular panoramic views, followed by a visit to the uniquely shaped Delgadinho mountain ridge.

After a brief stop in the picturesque village of Povoacão, we will travel to the northern tip of the island. Here, we will visit the viewpoint of Ponta do Sol for stunning views of the Pacific Ocean and meet local fishermen to learn about their trade traditions.

Our next stop will be Fontainhas, listed by National Geographic as one of the 10 villages with the most beautiful views in the world. After tasting local cuisine here, we will proceed to the green valley of Paul, one of the most beautiful places in Cape Verde.

We will continue with a visit to a distillery to learn about the preparation of grogue, the traditional rum of Santo Antão. Finally, we will visit the old Jewish village of Sinagoga, before returning to your hotel at 4 pm to conclude the tour.

The distillery is only open from 1st January to 31st May. If you book the tour outside these dates, this part will be skipped, resulting in a shorter tour duration.
