Combine exercise and tourism on this bicycle tour of Riga. We'll cycle through this World Heritage Centre and view its main monuments.
Description
At the designated time, we'll meet on Pils Street where bicycles will be provided. Start exploring Latvia's capital city on pedals.
We'll travel a total of 11 kilometres (6.8 miles) through the streets and parks of Riga's historical centre. The tour reveals the city's past and present, along with curiosities related to its most emblematic buildings.
Sites to see include Riga's Freedom Monument, Great Choral Synagogue, Stalin's Birthday Cake skyscraper, and the central market, among others. Various stops will be made for photos.
This route also includes Riga's Russian district, known as Maskavas Forštate, characterized by wooden houses, cobbled streets, and Soviet architecture, in contrast to the medieval style of the historical centre. This district is essential to visit.
After a two-hour ride, we'll conclude this bicycle tour of Riga at the starting point.
