Description

We will meet on the scheduled day at the main entrance of the Riga Cathedral to commence our tour of a critical pilgrimage site in Lithuania. Departing from Riga, we will traverse the picturesque Latvian landscape and stop for photos at the border between Latvia and Lithuania. At the Hill of Crosses, our guide will explain the site's history, its significance, and its adornment with thousands of crosses symbolizing prayers and resilience.

We will learn about the origins and the enduring importance of the site among locals and visitors, along with the myths and legends associated with it. Following this, we will return to Latvia to visit the Rund?le Palace, known for its Baroque architecture. An expert guide will lead us through the opulent interior and gardens, including the State Rooms, Golden Salon, and Grand Gallery.

After some free time for lunch at a local restaurant, we will head to Bauska Castle to ascend its recently renovated tower for panoramic views. We will explore the castle's interior and learn about its history. After 8 hours, the tour concludes back in Riga.
