Day Trip Details

After picking you up from your hotel in Riga, we'll head to Cesis, the third oldest city in Latvia.

Upon arrival, we'll embark on a guided walking tour of the old town of Cesis, which has preserved its history for over 800 years. Key sites include Roze Square, the Princess's House, and St. John's Church.

Next, we'll approach Cesis Castle, a medieval fortress. Inside, we will experience a candlelit climb up its towers for panoramic views.

After the castle tour, you will have an hour of free time to lunch at a local restaurant. We'll reconvene to explore the nature surrounding Cesis with a 6-kilometre hiking route to admire the red sandstone cliffs of the Gauja River valley.

Finally, we will return to Riga, concluding the excursion after a total of 8 hours.
