Discover the different artistic styles that converge in Riga's historic center, from Medieval to Renaissance and beyond. This exclusive private walking tour, conducted in English, offers a unique journey through the architectural and cultural heritage of Latvia's capital.

Tour Details

After meeting at the Freedom Monument, we'll enter the heart of the old town of Latvia's capital.

We will first explore the 13th century Town Hall Square, home to the city's emblematic building: the Casa de los Cabezas Negras (House of the Black Heads). Questions regarding its naming and commissioning will be answered during our visit.

Next, we'll pass by St. Peter's Church, known for its tower, which offers one of the best viewpoints in Riga. We'll also view the Three Brothers, showcasing typical architectural styles of the Baltic countries.

Our route will then take us to the Cathedral of St. James, an example of Gothic red brick architecture, followed by a visit to the Swedish Gate, the only remaining entrance of Riga's original city wall.

We will stroll along Str?lnieku iela, a street featuring some of Latvia's most iconic buildings, blending architectural styles from Art Nouveau to Baroque.

The tour will conclude after 2 hours.
