Discover the different artistic styles that converge in Riga's historic center, from Medieval to Renaissance and beyond. This exclusive private walking tour, conducted in English, offers a unique journey through the architectural and cultural heritage of Latvia's capital.

Tour Details

After meeting at the Freedom Monument at the appointed time, we'll enter the heart of the old town of Latvia's capital. The private tour will begin.

First, we will stroll through the 13th century Town Hall Square, home to the emblematic Casa de los Cabezas Negras (House of the Black Heads). We will address its historical significance during our visit.

Next, we'll pass by St. Peter's Church, known for its reconstructions and notable tower, which offers one of the best viewpoints in Riga. We will also see the Three Brothers, a set of buildings representative of Baltic architectural style.

From there, we’ll visit the Cathedral of St. James, an example of Gothic red brick architecture, followed by the Swedish Gate, the only surviving entrance of Riga's original city wall.

Next, we’ll explore Str?lnieku iela, a street adorned with some of Latvia's most iconic buildings, showcasing a blend of styles from Art Nouveau to Baroque.

Finally, we'll conclude the 2-hour private tour at this last point.
