Lipica Horse Farm & Škocjan Caves Day Trip

The day trip to Lipica and the Škocjan caves starts at 9 am. After hotel pickup in Rijeka, a drive northwest for an hour and a half will take you to Lipica.

Upon arrival, the first stop is a Lipizzaner horse farm, where you will learn about these prized horses, which also feature on Slovenia's currency. The tour includes insights into their characteristics and their use in dressage.

During the visit, you can visit the stables, pet the horses, and access the Lipikum Museum to enhance your understanding of this special breed. There is also an option to attend a dressage show if desired.

Following the farm, the tour continues to the Škocjan caves, recognized as one of the country’s important natural phenomena. You will enter the caves formed along the Reka River to view the giant stalactites & stalagmites and lakes created over centuries.

Afterward, you will cross back into Croatia and return to your hotel in Rijeka, arriving around 5 pm.
