Tour Details

We will meet at 59 Paulino Fernandes Street to begin our Jeep adventure through Tijuca National Park. Look for turtles, coatis, fish, monkeys, and other wildlife along the way.

First, we'll visit the Vista Chinesa viewpoint with its Eastern-style pagoda offering panoramic views of the city’s southern area and Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon. Here, we will discuss the lagoon's history and its ties to tea cultivation in Brazil.

Next, we’ll continue along the Taunay Trail to Cascatinha, the park's tallest waterfall, where we will stop for about 40 minutes for a dip in the natural pool.

Afterward, we will visit the Mayrink Chapel, which offers a tranquil atmosphere. We will then proceed to see the giant jackfruit tree, known for producing the largest fruit in the world.

Following this, we will head to the Tijuca National Park visitor's center to explore the exhibition 'A Forest in the Metropolis.' The tour will conclude at the historic Solidão Lake reservoir before returning to our starting point, making it a total duration of 3 hours.
