Tour Details
Let's meet at 59 Paulino Fernandes Street to begin our Jeep adventure through Tijuca National Park, the largest preserved urban forest worldwide. Keep an eye out for wildlife such as turtles, coatis, fish, and monkeys.
First, we'll visit the Vista Chinesa viewpoint, featuring an Eastern-style pagoda with panoramic views of the southern city area and the Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon. We will share the history of the lagoon and its link to tea cultivation in Brazil.
Next, we will explore the Taunay Trail leading to Cascatinha, the tallest waterfall in the park. Here, you'll have about 40 minutes to swim in the natural pool.
Afterward, we will visit the Mayrink Chapel, located in the forest, offering tranquility. We will also see the giant jackfruit tree, which produces the largest fruit in the world!
Our journey continues to the Tijuca National Park visitor's center to explore the exhibition 'A Forest in the Metropolis.' Finally, we'll conclude our tour at the historic Solidão Lake reservoir, rich in history, before returning to our starting point, wrapping up our adventure 3 hours later.
