Tour Details

We'll start this guided tour of Rio de Janeiro by meeting at the meeting point of your choice at the indicated time, and from there we'll head to Marechal Floriano Square, one of the most important places in Rio de Janeiro.

From the square, we'll see the external architecture of the most beautiful buildings in the historical centre of Rio de Janeiro such as the Municipal Theatre, the câmara municipal government building, and the National Library. We won't enter these buildings, but we'll visit the Royal Portuguese Cabinet of Reading, one of the city's most beautiful libraries.

The guided tour will continue along the city's central streets. We'll take a break at a typical bar to try three different types of cachaça, one of Brazil's famous alcoholic drinks. We'll discover the historical centre of Rio de Janeiro, visit the Confeitaria Colombo, the Nossa Senhora do Carmo da Antiga Sé royal church, and more. The tour will end at Praça XV de Novembro Square.

When you make your reservation, you can choose between the morning tour and the afternoon tour, and select one of the following meeting points:

Please note: on Saturdays, the tour only operates in the morning.

Important Information

The tour only includes one-way public transport tickets.Entrance to the monuments is not included on Saturdays; the cost is 5 Brazilian Reals. Additionally, on Saturdays, the Royal Portuguese Cabinet of Reading is also closed.
